Laser Therapy
Laser Therapy involves 3 stages aimed at delivering low intensity lasers to tissues to promote healing and relieve acute or chronic pain.
Physiological effects of Laser Therapy include:
-
Stimulating the Immune System
-
Decreasing inflammation
-
Increasing circulation by delivering light to provide damaged cells energy to promote healing
Laser Therapy improves multiple pathologies with the following objectives in mind:
-
Eliminating Pain
-
Reduce or remove the need for pharmaceuticals
-
Restore range of motion
-
Improve Quality of life
-
and in some situations remove the need for medical intervention
Chronic problems tend to respond slower than acute problems, however we tend to see improvements after 4-6 treatments. Laser Therapy is a progressive therapy so it does require patience and time. As each person is unique, and tissues respond to treatment differently, the number of treatments will vary depending on the individual.
