Reflexology promotes better health and relaxation with improved circulation throughout the whole body. For anyone with diminished circulation I.e. diabetics, the elderly, those who sit at a desk all day or anyone living a sedentary life, reflexology becomes an important tool in the maintenance of a healthier body.
Profound relaxation is the most common experience of people who receive reflexology. When reflexology reduces stress in the body, the body is motivated to function at an optimally healthier level. Reflexology can effectively compliment other therapies as Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Laser Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Reflexology is an ancient healing art which originated in China around 3000 B.C. It has existed in various forms throughout history in Egypt, India and Japan. Unique and quite different from other forms of body work, it is based on the principal that there are reflexes on the feet (and hands) which correspond to every organ and gland of the body. Specific pressure is applied to precise reflex points, activating the body’s inherent healing power.
